Pisa is the closest airport, just an hour’s drive, while Genova and Parma are roughly 1.5 hours. Aulla train station is 20 minutes drive away. We strongly recommend car hire is arranged from your arrival airport prior to arriving.
Testimonials
I had an absolutely magical stay in this sublime villa. One is surrounded by the nature and it feels wonderfully tranquil. There are some beautiful walks to waterfalls and the valley was lit up by fireflies at night. Exquisite interiors and Loris the caretaker is very welcoming and makes wonderful food. Barefoot luxury at its best.
We were a group of 11 adults and had a perfect holiday at this property. The spaciousness of both houses, pool area and garden gives more than enough space for a larger group. The entire site is well maintained and the house is well equipped. The many bathrooms are a real luxury. On top of that, the caretaker Loris took care of any concerns immediately and was always available for questions. All communication before and during the holiday was quick and flawless! Our whole group recommends this accommodation without reservation and we would like to thank Loris for the help and the incredibly great holiday! We will definitely come back on another vacation!
I just wanted to write a few words about our delightful Tuscan stay at Casa del Torrentello and thank you both for a wonderful holiday. It really is a special place.
Our Tuscan dream holiday was a plan in the making for over 3 years, it was a holiday for four best friends celebrating forty years with partners and children, unfortunately when Covid hit in 2020 we could not make Tuscany and even in 2021 we had to cancel once again due to restrictions, so this year July was the year to celebrate - 2 years overdue but oh my gosh it was worth the wait!
Serena has had so much contact with me over these past years from our initial booking in 2019, and answered all my questions, queries and given a service, and peace of mind with any COVID restrictions meaning we were so confident to continue to make the holiday booking and Serena I thank you for this assurance and meeting every need I put forward. Originally we had both properties booked but as our group size reduced due to our elder children travelling and friends not making it we just took the one house.
Casa del Torrentello is beatutiful, it's setting is that of a movie scene and pure delight to whirl away the time, just gazing and listening to the silence albeit the birds, crickets and 8 children ( once they finally woke each morning). The house has everything you could need and immaculately clean.
Loris is a wonderful man and made our stay so special, I lost track of the number of emails Loris and I shared during the lead up and helping to book restaurants, horse riding and wine tastings, I am a perfectionist and Loris met every need, his wine is delightful, attention to detail perfect and genuinely wanted to make our stay special from delivering fresh eggs, more wine and even milk when we ran out and couldn't drive (because of the delicious homemade wine), the pizza evening was wonderful, and lasagnes delicious.
The area is beautiful we loved the local waterfall, wine tasting, horse riding and eating by the lake, La Linas restaurant in neighbouring Bagnone is a must. So many memories made and the perfect place to celebrate our belated fortieths! I feel I have left a little piece of my heart in Tuscany; I cannot wait to return.
I have to say that we had the most wonderful week at your beautiful home. We all came to the conclusion that Casa del Torrentello was one of the best homes that we had all stayed in - so well equipped, spacious, comfortable beds....the list goes on - and enough sun loungers for everyone!! It was fantastic and we will most certainly love to return at some stage in the future.
Loris was also the most perfect caretaker, answering our various queries with patience and generosity - again one of the best!
So, many, many thanks and we look forward to returning one day!
I stayed at the villa with a large group and we had an amazing time. The villa is beautifully located within the Tuscan hills with lovely views either side and trees all around. While sitting in the infinity pool you can overlook this rolling landscape. It is so beautiful and quiet. The villa itself is stunning, tall ceilings with wooden beams give it a chalet feel. Then, outside there is plenty of patio space and areas to sit by the pool or eat all together overlooking the beautiful view. All around the villa there are scenic walks, so many areas of natural beauty. The place created the perfect backdrop for us all to relax, spend time together as friends catching up, split off at times and do day trips with a few of us, then come back together in the evenings. Leaving the place was emotional, we all shared some very special moments and created amazing memories
Fantastic villa in Tuscany for larger groups
We went to Villa Dell'Angelo with a group of 10 friends, 2 kids & 2 babies and were pleasantly surprised with this secluded villa in Tuscany. From the entrance with the chapel and cypress trees, to all the comfortable and spacious rooms, to the beautiful outside areas and of course the swimming pool, everything was top-notch. The communication online with Serena was always fast and marked a level of hospitality which was topped by Loris the caretaker. This guy bakes incredibly tasty pizzas, maintains the property daily, freely gives tips about the surroundings and things to do and even helps out when there are car to trouble. We had a great vacation here where the place allowed us to forget about the whole COVID crisis and really unwind. Already looking forward to returning one day. Thanks for everything Loris, Serena and even Mia :)
We had a fantastic stay with our large family in this wonderful house in beautiful surroundings. . The house has a great pool, a beautiful terrace and a balcony with a magnificent view. Loris who takes care of everything was a great help and support with any questions. Thank you.
We were in the house for over two weeks and it was amazing. After the warm welcome from Loris, we came into the house and found that it is even more amazing than in the pictures. Everything is very generous, the equipment contains everything you need and it is very lovingly made. The location was perfect for us - nice and quiet and at the same time not too far from the shops. In any case, hire Loris to bake pizza in the in-house oven!
Very nice holiday home, which offers a lot of tranquility, a magnificent view of the mountains, a wonderful, large pool and tasteful furnishings. The house and the area around Licciana offer a multitude of opportunities to keep yourself busy on vacation. In addition to bathing in the sun or in the pool, you can also play table tennis, table football or badminton. From here you can start on excursions to the sea, in the mountains or to Pisa or the Cinque Terre. A special highlight for families is the "Pizza party" organized by Loris. Loris also ensures that everything is tidy and clean at all times, without being bothered by it. He is also a great and very friendly help with all wishes, concerns and problems.
The house is absolutely in sync with the listing, nothing overstated, well maintained, holding the pool area with the lounge as the gem of the location. We were a group of six (three adult couples) and there was plenty of room for everyone...whether you wanted to chill at the pool, enjoy the terrace, do your yoga or just enjoy another quiet spot on the property...just perfect. The real hidden gem of this location, however, is "the master of services" Loris...we called him "the magician"...whatever our ideas or plans were, he brought them to live, e.g. a private boat tour to Vernacca incl. a lunch on the spectacular terrace of the Belfort (and I asked him only 2 days before it should happen)...and I could go on and on and on...shout out to Loris and many thanks again, you made this stay truly marvellous!
Wonderful
What a great house, huge comfortable kitchen, beautiful living room and beautiful spacious rooms. Unfortunately we were not so lucky with the weather so we could not use the outdoor space - but it is absolutely adorable - with a huge pool. lounge area, pizza oven, BBQ and firepit. And the view from the house over the hills - to die for. Loris is absolutely fantastic - he was always there for us and able to solve even the smallest problems. I would recommend this without hesitation!

A wonderful 2 weeks in beautiful Licciana Nardi
The house is fantastic, even nicer than the photos on the website. We loved the pool and outside bar and grill area and spent every morning and evening on the beautiful terrace with its incredible views. It’s a great location to explore this part of Italy, lovely beaches 30 mins away and easy day trips to Cinque Terre, Pisa, Luca, etc. Having Loris on site really made our stay perfect. He answered all our questions and queries really quickly, gave us some great tips on things to do in the area and cooked us pizza twice. He even makes his own wine ;-) Overall I would definitely recommend this property as a great place to stay in a wonderful part of Italy.
We had a great time at this fantastic villa in the Tuscan hills. It is surrounded by pure nature. There is literally nobody else in sight.
The pool is huge, even for larger groups. The kitchen is well equipped. There even was an ice machine and some moka pots available for us to use. The pizza oven on the terrace worked perfectly.
There is a long, private road leading down to the villa, which is accessible even for larger cars.
Loris (the property manager) lives in a house on the other end of the estate. He checked on the pool twice a day and proved to be very helpful when we had issues with one of the cars.
We would like to thank Serena and Loris for this great stay and highly recommend it to others!
Just book this house, the views, the surroundings, and the house including grounds are just perfect.
We stayed with our group of friends (10 persons in our end-twenties) for 2 weeks and for us it was the perfect place. The house is very nice and cosy, you have everything you need, every single bed was comfortable so we felt at home immediately. The outdoor was perfect as well. Very nice pool, a lot of space to chill, read, have me-time, but also nice places to be in the group. It is a bit difficult without a car as the house is quite outside, but that is the benefit as well. You don't see other houses, you don't hear cars. It is a really good place to just get away from the daily stress. Loris, who lives in the house up the hill was there every day, was very kind and friendly, had good advice for all our questions and made delicious Tiramisu. Thanks a lot Loris, you make the stay even more perfect!
Our group of 11 adults and 2 kids stayed at the villa in June 2019. Clean and beautiful bedrooms, several bathrooms and a spacious dining area. The bedroom side of the house was nice and cool even during the June heatwave.
The garden/pool area is extremely beautiful with amazing views over the Tuscan hills. The kitchen has all the things and equipment you need for cooking. The caretaker Loris helped us with restaurant bookings, photographers and everyday essentials.
Happy times in a gorgeous location, highly recommended!
The house is absolutely incredible. Even more beautiful in real life than it looks in the pictures. The enormous kitchen/dining area in particular is more spectacular than the photos portray.
Serena and Loris were amazing hosts, answered all our questions extremely quickly, and advised us on things to do in the area including a special wine tasting evening for a birthday evening for one of our group. Could not recommend the place or the hosts highly enough. Already planning a trip back again.
We spent a lovely week in Casa Torentello. Communication with Serena went really well. Loris on site was very helpful and always available to answer any questions.
We particularly liked the proximity to the sea with beautiful beaches.
Excellent stay and beautiful discovery that this place. The house is large, very pleasant. Beautiful view and absolute tranquility. The living room is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The rooms are a good size, spread over two floors and very clean. 4 bathrooms well appreciated for a group of 10 people. Towels in quantity and of good quality as well as the products kindly made available. The pool and garden are immaculate. The sunny week allowed us to take full advantage of it. Plenty of sun loungers, 2 large umbrellas. The ping-pong table, badminton net and table football were a big plus. The cutlery with the large table and the pizza oven (excellent dough thank you again Loris) allowed delicious meals, with aperitifs and breakfasts of high quality! The village grocery store is very nice and its stall is well stocked (fresh produce, fruit and vegetables of the moment, bread, preserves, coffee and cookies, small pharmacy, etc.). The welcome basket left by Loris on our arrival really touched us. Vegetables from his garden, eggs, good olive oil, honey, coffee and very good local wine. He is a discreet, smiling, attentive and generous man. Very responsive when needed, definitely an asset for a property like this. Thanks again to him and to Serena for the good contacts, the trust and the kindness. The sea is 35 minutes away by car, we went there three times, including a trip to the Cinque Terre. We are saving the address for our circle of friends and would definitely recommend this little piece of heaven.
What a fab villa. I had not expected it to be as luxurious for the rental cost they charge. Lots of space inside and out, good size pool and different sitting areas. My highlights were: lovely Loris brining down homemade pizza dough and teaching us how to make them in the old wood fired oven; the long walk down the stream and swimming in a natural pool; going up to the top of the hill (mountain?) and having a bbq after watching the sunset.
Having been to Tuscany about 6 times I found the area around the villa was genuine rustic Italy. In the village Licciana Nardi I had expected to find communication a problem as I have no Italian but the locals were genuinely friendly and helpful and seemed interested in us – making jokes and telling us where to go for shopping etc.
I liked the fact that they provide Cowshed soaps, shampoo etc. and being given my own large pile of towels. The peaceful seclusion of the villa nestled in the hills is idyllic and very relaxing. It was much more like a family home than any of the many places I have stayed over the years. It is easy to give this place the good review it deserves.
What a very, very special, peaceful place this is. The house is perched up on a hump within its very own wooded valley with hardly another property to be seen and far reaching views of distant mountains.
The house has a wonderful feel to it – especially welcoming and comfortable with every convenience thought of, a wonderfully spacious kitchen/dining/living space spilling onto terraces and on into the garden and across to the heavenly pool.
Loris the caretaker is a gem – wonderfully helpful, energetic, enthusiastic, on hand to help with anything if required, and he speaks excellent English.
Glorious walks in every direction, mountaintop villages, exciting river gorges, an inhabited castle just up the hill – entrancing!

Great and relaxing time
We stayed with 3 families in the beautiful holiday home in Licciana Nardi. We spent many relaxing hours there by the pool and in the house. Loris, the property manager, in particular, was a great support. We look back fondly on our pizza party with him. The chef and his wife who were appointed for us also gave us a lovely evening with great food.
We will come again.
Everything has worked without any problems. Fantastically helpful host who was both discreet but also did everything to be helpful. A pizza evening at the good pizza oven was an experience when we were delivered a magnificent Tiramisu. Had a lovely family holiday with three generations and no one could find anything to complain about.
Pure relaxation
It's rare to find such a great location. Everything was fine. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The location is fantastic. You feel really comfortable there and relaxation is guaranteed. A very special thank you goes to Loris, the good soul of the property, for the great preparation and support during our stay. We were there for 2 weeks and didn't want to leave at all. Conclusion: Highly recommended.
5/5
Dream Tuscan experience (Loris was amazing)
We were sold on the villa from the photos but on arrival the photos did not do it justice! Beautiful from all angles. It was big enough that everyone had their own space. We had our wedding here and i couldn’t have picked a better venue. On top of how nice the villa was, Loris was we even better. He was so helpful and thoughtful and when he found out we were having our wedding there, he went above and beyond to make it our dream wedding from the kindness of his heart. Stunning place, amazing host and we can’t wait to come back! Chris & Christina
We had a lovely holiday, the villa is in a beautiful location in the middle of a forest so is very peaceful. The pool and outdoor furniture are perfect for relaxing and chilling out with friends. The kitchen is well equipped including coffee machine and ice maker.
Loris the local manager is excellent, he is very helpful and also provided a wonderful welcome basket followed up with locally made wine and amazing tiramisu. He even came to cook pizza for us in the pizza oven. The group agreed these were the best pizzas we’d ever tasted.
We visited a great local restaurant called Agriturisimo Montagne Verde which we would highly recommend.
In summary our group of 10 had a wonderful holiday at Serena’s villa.
The house is absolutely stunning, it is inside and outside even more beautiful and spacious than you would expect. We were 11 people and the house is totally made for so many. Enough dishes in the kitchen, the fridge / freezer is amazing, enough bathrooms and space in the bedrooms, a comfortable table outside and many sunbeds. A big thank you to Loris!! We could always text him and he came by to help, organized us taxis and a privat chef and many more things. If you need him, he is there, if you want your peace, you will not even realize he was there to check for the pool and house outside. I can absolutely recommend, great choice!
